Ibiza 2011: The Best Time Of Our Lives

Ibiza is an island off the east coast of Spain, and one of the most well-known party destinations in the world. Last week 2500 exchange students from all over Spain united in Ibiza for a huge week-long macroparty. Our trip included 2 party boats and 6 parties, and the best part was we were all housed in the same apartment complex so we could party there if we wanted.

The night before our trip we bought flasks at a chino store and bedazzled them. (Keeps you from buying drinks at the clubs... money saver.)

Day 1: We all had to meet to take a bus to the port to take a boat to the island. These are my roommates Bri and Hilary, waiting for the bus.

This is the party boat that we had to take to the island. It had 3 stories.

Once on board the boat, the boat party began, complete with a DJ. The boat ride was around 3 1/2 hours long.
We did not end up getting to our apartments until around 1.30 am. that night. But this is what they look like during the day. We also had a pool and a pool-side bar.

Day 2: Pool chill out and party at Eden.

The worst part about the party and Eden was that we had to wait in line forever! It was craziness. But at least we didn´t have to pay. At 4.30 a.m. they turned on hoses and sprayed everyone down.

Day 3: School Girl Party
This party was the only one that required a certain dresscode: school outfits. It was housed it one of the biggest clubs in the world, Privilege. This was definitely my favorite party.

Day 4: Water Party at Es Paradis

This party was also one of my favorites. In the middle of the club there was like a bowl like dance floor, and at 4.30 am they turn on the water. It comes from everywhere and the bowl fills up into a small pool. It got completely soaked, and the walk to the bus was cold, but it was a great time.

Day 5: Mascarade party at Space

This was our final night and party before leaving the next day to go home. Everyone had to dress in masks. I think by far it was our least favorite night (maybe because we had to check-out of our apartments at 8.30 the next morning), but still I had a great time with friends I´ll never forget.

Day 6: Leaving day. I don´t have any pictures from this day partly because I hadn´t had much sleep and it was very early and I didn´t feel that well. I also got even sicker (motion sickness) on the boat back home. Let´s just say I was glad to set foot on the ground in Murcia and sleep for the next 12 hours.
